Canfield & Tack Expands in Upstate New York by Acquiring Dellas Graphics
Canfield & Tack’s annual revenue exceeds $14 million, bringing combined annual revenues of the new company to nearly $20 million. Entirely employee owned, the company (#317 on the 2011 Printing Impressions 400 with $13.02 million in sales) has a staff of 75, bringing total employment with the acquisition to more than 100.
Dellas Graphics provides offset and digital printing, mailing and fulfillment services. Owner and President Thomas J. Dellas purchased the company in 1979, building it from seven employees to more than 30 and growing sales from $150,000 to almost $5 million.
Management has built one of Central New York’s most respected printing and mail houses, specializing in customized direct mailing and fulfillment services. As a member of the Canfield & Tack family, Dellas Graphics will become a powerhouse printer in Syracuse, bringing more print capabilities, state-of-the art equipment, resources such as diecutting and print-managed services, and even faster turnarounds to its customers.
“This is a great fit for both companies—from a capabilities standpoint and from a cultural perspective,” said Brown. “Dellas Graphics is a strong company, with steady sales, loyal customers, and a compatible market approach. It also has a longstanding reputation for delivering outstanding personal customer service, a top priority we share at Canfield & Tack.”
“I liked the fact that they are an employee-owned company,” remarked Dellas “We have gained the capabilities that allow us to go after a larger array of work.
