Canon Acquires North Carolina-Based Tereck Office Solutions
LAKE SUCCESS, NY—May17, 2010—Working to expand its support for businesses and provide greater levels of service in the North and South Carolina regions, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in advanced digital imaging and software solutions, today announced the acquisition of the assets of Tereck Office Solutions, Inc., based in Durham, NC. It will now be a new, wholly-owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A.

The North Carolina-based Tereck is an independent value-added reseller of document imaging and print solutions, including imaging hardware and software, printer fleet and facilities management services. Founded in 1997, Tereck has quickly grown into a prominent provider in the imaging market and was ranked by the Triangle Business Journal among the 50 fastest growing companies in the Triangle Region and currently has more than 70 employees between two offices.
Tod Pike, who is currently president of Canon Business Solutions, Inc., will serve as president of Canon Business Solutions – Tereck, Inc. with Ed Ecker, former president and owner of Tereck Office Solutions, Inc., remaining with the business in an advisory role.
