Canon Solutions America Customer Uses varioPRINT 115 to Support Great Cause
PrintWorks & Co. is a full-service printing firm that creates individualized printing and direct mail marketing solutions for corporate, non-profit, educational, and religious organizations. They are also a proud sponsor of the annual Amy’s Ride-Run-Walk in Quakertown, PA. When Amy’s Ride-Run-Walk inquired about print services three years ago, PrintWorks’ owner, Marty Wolfe, offered his support. Inspired by his father, a pancreatic cancer survivor, Wolfe proved through this act of kindness that PrintWorks is in fact, more than just print.
Powered by Canon Solutions America (Booth 1213), PrintWorks was well-resourced to extend its print services to the community event, which raises money to fund pancreatic cancer research, awareness, and advocacy efforts. The event took place Saturday, May 20, 2017, with all signage and direct mail marketing material provided—free of charge—by PrintWorks. PrintWorks utilized the varioPRINT 115, as well as other Canon devices, to make its contribution to the Amy’s Ride-Run-Walk initiative possible.
“We want to make sure we offer our customers the best all-around experience, and that means going beyond print,” says Wolfe. “We are confident in our ability to provide quality products at affordable rates, especially with the support of Canon Solutions America. We are overjoyed that Amy’s Ride-Run-Walk team recognized our honest interest in the cause, and that we had the capacity to be a greater part of this effort.”
Amy (Cygan) Spier lost her 3-year battle with pancreatic cancer in 2014. Determined to keep her memory alive and continue the battle against the disease, Amy’s 10 siblings came together to create Amy’s Ride-Run-Walk. Since 2015, the cycling, running, and walking event has united the Pennsylvania community to help fund pancreatic cancer research. The 2015 inaugural event raised $32,000, with an additional $26,240 raised in 2016. With the support of PrintWorks, this year’s event brought together more than 450 participants, and raised $45,000.
“PrintWorks’ genuine interest in our mission was manifested since the first day we approached the company for print services,” says Dave Cygan from Amy’s Ride-Run-Walk. “We are treated like paying customers, and receive best-quality work in a timely manner from an actively involved team. This year, PrintWorks introduced us to a new approach by putting together a direct mail marketing campaign, and even sent a team to participate in the event—we are very proud and thankful to have them as our sponsor.”
The varioPRINT 115 is a true digital printing solution that’s easy to use, and helped PrintWorks deliver high-quality, consistent images. With a minimal footprint requirement, it fits in most operations and helps reduce the environmental impact of the business.
According to Wolfe, the company manages to stay relevant by its ability to consistently reinvest into the business, while keeping the customers’ needs top of mind.
“Our mission at Canon Solutions America is to help businesses grow, but also highlight those stories that capture the power of print,” said Peter Kowalczuk, EVP, Sales and Zone Operations, Enterprise Services and Solutions, Canon Solutions America.
