Canon Solutions America Showcases Domtar’s VividJet at PRINT 13
MELVILLE, NY—September 11, 2013—Canon Solutions America, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., announced it will showcase VividJet—a premium sheet for transactional printing from Domtar—an innovative fiber-based company, at PRINT 13, held September 8-12 at McCormick Place South, Chicago.
Same Paper. New Pigments. Big Results.
Canon Solutions America has used Domtar paper for dye inks in the past. Now the company is beginning to use Domtar paper, including VividJet, with its new Premium Pigment Inks. These inks—developed by improving the Magenta and Black pigment inks—are enhancing the print quality and color gamut of Océ inkjet platforms.
“We are looking forward to showcasing VividJet combined with our new Premium Pigment Inks at PRINT 13,” said John Crumbaugh, media and ink marketing executive, Production Print Solutions division, Canon Solutions America. “The combination of Domtar’s VividJet and our new pigments offer consumers better color and better output at a lower cost.”
Digital Expectations
As consumers have more options in the digital space, expectations increase. What was once a static industry has evolved into a dynamic, ever-changing discipline.
“Attendees at PRINT 13 will be blown away at how well VividJet plays with Canon Solutions America’s technology,” noted Scott Schweder, region manager, technical sales for Enterprise Group, a Domtar Business. “Canon Solutions America is a guiding light for our company and these pigments are one more benefit for us.”
Part of the expectation is not only about quality, but also speed. At PRINT 13 when attendees see Domtar papers including VividJet, they will see that Domtar has the ability to support any domestic install in a fast and efficient way.
Strategic Relationship
Domtar has been a long-term, strategic partner of Canon Solutions America. Early on, Domtar discovered that Canon Solutions America provided equipment to the same customers where the company was selling. Together they could benefit customers.
“We discovered that we were both working on behalf of the customer, and we could solve problems together,” relayed Schweder. “It was the perfect marriage between paper and ink, and the relationship was a natural fit for two market leaders.”
More than fifteen years after the relationship first commenced, the two companies continue to join forces.
“Canon Solutions America is in tune with what’s important to our company with paper product positioning,” concluded Schweder.
