Canon to Host G7 Training and Certification at Technical Center in Chicago
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - October 23, 2018 - Idealliance and Canon have partnered to offer G7 training at the Canon Solutions America - Itasca technical center in Itasca, Ill., outside of Chicago. Led by David Hunter, G7 Expert Trainer, this three-day training event covering a multitude of print applications, including digital print, color management, process control, implementation, and optimization, will feature live demonstrations of applying the G7 methodology in print production workflows and technology. G7 is Idealliance’s global industry-leading set of specifications for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. The G7 methodology is designed to align all print technologies for visual consistency, process and quality control, and color workflow management.

This G7 Training session is open to the public for participants to achieve G7 Expert and G7 Professional Certification. Participants must register online at Idealliance.org prior to attending. Upon the completion of the three-day training at Canon, participants will leave with extensive practical hands-on experience in G7 implementation and print management. G7 Experts and Professionals must complete an online examination to verify their aptitude in G7, color management, and process control to help print service providers as well as brands, creatives, and other print supply chain partners achieve G7 Master Qualification.
