Senator Charles Schumer also noted: “Today’s grand opening ceremony marks a picture perfect moment for Canon U.S.A. and all of Long Island. ‘One Canon Park’ will be an anchor business for the Route 110 corridor and attract business visitors from across the world. When I first met with senior Canon officials years ago, I knew this project would be a success. I fought hard, along with officials from Long Island, to secure millions of dollars for road improvements in-and-around this heavily commuted corridor and worked to secure millions of stimulus dollars so that Canon could relocate to Melville. With over 1,400 jobs on Long Island, Canon is an asset to the local economy and I am proud to have seen this project through to fruition.
