SAINT-JÉRÔME, CANADA—September 13, 2013—At PRINT 13, Cascades launched Cascades Enviro Jet, an uncoated fine paper created for inkjet printing. Cascades Enviro Jet is reportedly the only inkjet paper with 100 percent postconsumer fiber in North America.
Cascades Enviro Jet is being showcased at the Canon Solutions America booth at PRINT 13 on an Océ ColorStream press. The paper shows its colors, excellent density of black and strong color reproduction. "It makes sense that a high-quality recycled paper that can print vivid colors should team up with a press that is equally compatible," said John Crumbaugh, media and ink marketing executive, Production Print Solutions div. of Canon Solutions America. "The Océ ColorStream goes beyond delivering the speed and throughput that busy print operations require. It is designed for high-speed, high-volume production printing environments."
Especially designed to print direct mail, transactional documents and books, Cascades Enviro Jet performs well on both pigment and dye ink presses. The treatment applied on the surface of the paper helps the colors to keep their vibrancy. Simply put, it provides the necessary medium to be colorful and productive.
Keeping the high environmental standards of Cascades, the paper is made of 100 postconsumer fiber with local and renewable biogas energy. Cascades Enviro Jet is certified FSC, EcoLogo and Processed Chlorine Free and it helps paper users to be more environmentally responsible.
As Normand Champagne, general sales and marketing director, Cascades Fine Papers Group mentioned, "You don't need to compromise anymore to be colorful, be productive and be green. Cascades Enviro Jet helps you show your own colors with style and passion."
