In cass you were wondering, there’s a new COO at Case Paper, Cass Lundgren. The company is thrilled to welcome him to the team! Cass will be accountable for leading operations in all Case facilities.
Cass comes to Case with a wide range of experience in different fields. After graduating from The United States Military Academy at West Point, he became a commissioned officer and served as an Apache Helicopter Pilot and Company Commander in the 101st airborne division. He deployed to Kuwait during his service.
After the Army, he left the cockpit behind and worked for 18 years at Vision-Ease Lens, progressing from Shift Supervisor to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Operations. He then moved on to become the SVP and General Manager of the Americas for Heraeus in the medical device industry. Most recently, Cass was the COO at National Dentex, the largest dental lab network in the world.
Cass’s approach to his work has always been consistent. To him, the success of a company lies in valuing its people. Valuing each employee’s individuality, their unique gifts, and their need to be appreciated for their achievements. It’s this kind of leadership that helped the company make a CASE to invite Cass to join the team.
“Cass has all the qualities we look for in a leader,” says Case Paper President, Simon Schaffer-Goldman. “He understands that leaders work for the teams they lead, not the other way around. We’re excited for the experience and enthusiasm he’ll bring to Case.”
Cass and his wife Jessica have been married for 23 years. They have three children who demonstrate their love for him by not objecting when he watches “Rocky” for the millionth time, or ‘air guitars’ around the kitchen to his favorite band, Metallica.
Not content with only being a leader at work, Cass puts his gift for motivating people to good use as a football coach. In fact, his high school team is ranked #7 in Florida!
It’s clear that Cass lives by his favorite motto: “Let’s be better than we were yesterday, but not as good as we’ll be tomorrow.” With him onboard, Case Paper is definitely on a roll!
