Century-old Hirschfeld Closes its Doors

DENVER—National Hirschfeld, a century-old business institution in the Mile High city, closed its doors this week, leaving 250 employees out of work, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

The company, which was founded in 1907 by A.B. Hirschfeld and merged with National Printing & Packaging in 2005, notified its employees of the closure on Tuesday. Some employees will be kept on until the end of the month to finish remaining jobs.
