Cenveo Shuttering Twin Cities Plant in Q1 2015
MINNEAPOLIS—Cenveo Corp. will permanently close its commercial printing facility here by the end of March, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported. The move will result in the loss of about 112 jobs.
According to the paper, the news comes along with a mass layoff warning sent to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The layoffs could begin as early as Dec. 31.
"Some administrative and other office positions will remain operational, but will relocate to a new site," said Michelle Anders, regional director of human resources at Stamford, CT-based Cenveo. "The operations departments of the facility, including prepress, press, finishing, warehousing, assembly, fulfillment and mailing will be relocated to other Cenveo locations."
Cenveo officials did not respond to requests from the Journal for more information.
