Chicagoland Printers Scholarship Golf Outing Set for July
PEWAUKEE, WI—April 30, 2013—The Great Lakes Graphics Association, formerly PII/PIW, along with The Lithographers Club of Chicago and The Graphic Communications Guild, will play hosts to the first combined Chicagoland Printers Scholarship Golf Outing, Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Maple Meadows Country Club, 272 Addison Road, Wood Dale, IL, beginning with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
I am extremely excited about this combined effort, proving strength in forming an alliance with other print related associations to further the funding of scholarship programs in local high schools and colleges in Illinois. This effort helps promote print, fund continuing focused education and create excitement with the youth who will be running our industry in the future.
The event promises to be a fun outing on a traditional “country club” layout, where golf legend Ben Hogan won the 1941 Chicago Open. Included will be a putting contest, a halfway house featuring a taste of the area, and some stellar raffle prizes, plus a Maple Meadows luncheon for those who golf or decide just to stop by for lunch and say hello to friends in the industry.
Take advantage of promoting your company as a hole sponsor with the added feature of having a tabletop on the green to tell your story personally.
The volunteer golf committee from all three associations has poured many hours of negotiation, planning and time to create this event, and it is my hope that you will jump on board and support this outstanding effort...for a great cause!
Be certain to act quickly in making your reservation as we are limited to 144 golfers. Register with Judy Wolters at (855) 522-2210, or click here for more information.
See ya on the green!
All the best,
Bill Gibson
