CHICAGO—October 27, 2008—The International Cooperation for the Integration of the Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) Organization today announced the results of it biannual election of Advisory Board representatives and Board of Directors officers.
CIP4's Advisory Board is its highest level of organization. There are three classes of membership, "Partner", "Full" and "Associate." While Partner level members each have a seat on the Advisory Board, Full and Associate members of the Advisory Board are elected to seve two-year terms. Martin Bailey of Global Graphics, Jacques Thiebauld of Dalim Software, and Henny van Esch of Optimus were reelected to serve another term as Full member representatives and will be joined by several first-time Full member representatives, including:
o Rebecca Aquino of Screen (USA)
o Rohan Holt of LithoTechnics Pty Limited (Australia)
o Keigo Shirai of Olive inc. (Japan)
o Patrick Vreven of GamSys Software (Belgium)
In the Associate class of representatives, reelected incumbent Stephan Jaeggi of Prepress Consulting will be joined by first-time Associate representatives Mark Bohan of PIA/GATF (USA) and Abhay Sharma of Ryerson University (Canada).
CEO Margaret Motamed of EFI, Technical Officer Rainer Prosi of Heidelberg, Education and Marketing Officer Mark Wilton of Kodak and Treasurer and Financial Officer Marc van Vught of Screen were all elected to serve new two-year terms. Tim Daisy of Prism (USA) was also elected as the new Membership Officer by the new Advisory Board.
"There was a lot of competition for the Advisory Board positions and competition for two of the Board of Director positions," said CIP4 Executive Director James Harvey. "I congratulate the winners and thank all the candidates that competed for seats on the Advisory Board and Board of Directors for their interest, support and dedication to CIP4. This year's elections clearly show that CIP4 is alive and many folks have ideas and an interest in building the specifications, education programs and the organization itself."
