Classic in Charlotte, NC, Celebrates 30th Anniversary
CHARLOTTE, NC—April 15, 2013—Classic, headquartered here at the former IBM Campus in Innovation Park, celebrated its 30-year anniversary on Friday, April 12 from 3 to 10 pm.
In the top 2 percent in its industry, Classic, an employee-owned company, has grown to 300 employees, a 64 percent increase in three years.
The celebration's theme `Thirty Rocks' consisted of a flashback to the 80's with live performance by Strange Brew and a group of Classic employees stood as the Cover band, showing off their musical talents. Approximately 375 people attended the big celebration including Classic employees, vendor partners and customers.
“This is an exciting day,” said CEO David Pitts. “We appreciate our employees, who reflect our brand on a daily basis and our business partner vendors and customers who we couldn't be in business without.”
Guests toured the 240,000-square-foot facility and gathered to mingle at the party. “We've grown and everyone's excited about the new space,” remarked CEO Bill Gardner. Expansion plans to add new capital equipment, technology and talent are already in motion.
The finale was an astounding fire show which left everyone sizzling in their seats.
