PATERSON, NJ–July 25, 2014–Colter & Peterson (booth 3617) is preparing for the upcoming GRAPH EXPO show. Four Microcut automated backgauge programs for paper cutters, including two making their North American debut, will be joined by the C&P Microsystems B-65 control system and a Saber 116cm (45") paper cutter at McCormick Place in Chicago from Sept. 28-Oct. 1.
Adaptable to any brand paper cutter between 20-150", the popularity of Microcut is enormous with over 30,000 worldwide installations. Colter & Peterson, North America’s largest independent distributor of paper cutters and paper handling equipment, continues to experience high demand for its Microcut PLUS WS and Microcut JR systems. The company will offer the GRAPH EXPO crowd two new options--Microcut COLOR WS and Microtrack II--that can improve productivity by as much as 50 percent.
Microcut systems are automated, very flexible, and cost a fraction of the purchase price of a new paper cutter. Each Microcut system memorizes the cutting sequences instantly, and the backgauge will automatically position itself to deliver a precise cut within 1/64 of an inch. Microcut COLOR WS guides the correct position movement faster and more accurately using a computer guidance system. The 8" wide format touch screen display helps the operator with fast and simple set-up.
Microtrack II is a cost-effective, digital display and programming guide that uses a microprocessor based unit to increases the accuracy and productivity of manually operated papercutters. User-friendly Manual, Program and Automatic options provide a visual alert to make the operator aware of when the backgauge is properly positioned.
Microcut PLUS WS is a battle tested system that offers a 12" wide-format touch screen and new microcip and microfacts features. It allows programs to be uploaded from a network connection with a USB device using 3/4 files, and no additional hardware or software is necessary.
Microcut JR is ideal for small shops using paper cutters up to 37" in size. Advanced programming options include label and sheet divide, allowing complicated jobs to be programmed with only a few data entries.
The B-65 paper cutter clamp/cut control system is a turnkey solution with a host of benefits. Requiring the installation of Microcut PLUS WS for the operator interface, it brings any flywheel cyclical paper cutting machine up to current standards with electronics.
The Saber 116cm is the latest model of the Saber X15 series. Manufactured to ISO-9001 standards with the latest technology features including a new hydraulic system and new cut optimization, this 45" paper cutter comes complete with a Microcut system and 15" touchscreen.
