Effective in January, Timothy Burton will retire as president of Burton & Mayer in Menomonee Falls, WI. He will continue to serve as chairman of the board. Burton has worked at his family's company since 1970. Moving into the president role is James Burton, Tim Burton's cousin and business partner.
At Flesh Co. in Parsons, KS, Jillian Flesh has been promoted to executive vice president. The fourth generation of the Flesh family, she now oversees facilities management, compliance and quality control.
Based in Clifton, NJ, Kay Printing, a division of KM Media Group, has appointed Robert Sternau as director of new business development. Most recently, Sternau was vice president of sales and marketing at Vanguard Printing.
Greg Retzer has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing at Western States Envelope & Label in Butler, WI. Most recently the national sales manager, Retzer now leads sales and marketing efforts for all five full-service locations.
Ray Sevin has joined Dickinson Press in Grand Rapids, MI, as COO. As such, he is responsible for book manufacturing and sales, including customer service. Sevin has more than 30 years of experience in different positions at Bookmasters Inc.
Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) has named John Rogers to be its global executive director, and Gary Peeling now serves as the global chairman. Rogers started Canada's first digital color printing company, Dots & Pixels, in 1994, and he was also a co-founder of Dscoop. Peeling is managing director at Precision Printing in the UK.
Capital Imaging of Lansing, MI, and Beeline and Blue in Des Moines, IA, were named Partners of the Year, and HP, was named Vendor of the Year at the ReproMAX 30th anniversary conference held recently in Las Vegas. ReproMAX comprises an international network of independent print service providers.
Dave Kane has rejoined Arandell Corp. in Menomonee Falls, WI, as vice president of information technology.
Don Nelson has been named COO for Cimpress, the new name for Vistaprint's parent company, based in Venlo, The Netherlands. Nelson is responsible for building and advancing the company's new shared mass-customization platform.
