The Printing Industries Association of Southern California (PIASC) has selected Douglas Grant, president of Westamerica Graphics in Foothill Ranch, CA, as its PIASC Executive of the Year and recipient of its Ben Franklin Award.
A few years after retiring from Mossberg & Co. in South Bend, IN, Bill Knight has returned to the position of national account executive. In addition, Emmanuel (Manny) Patelidas has joined the company as prepress department manager.
Kenneth McNerney, CEO and managing partner for Miamisburg, OH-based Think Patented, was honored as the 2014 Printer of the Year by Southern Advisory Council and Printing Industries of Ohio-Northern Kentucky.
Steve Urry has been named executive vice president of sales at The Standard Group in Reading, PA. Urry now handles national sales for the company.
At Southeastern in Stuart, FL, John Torrey has been named the company's commercial division president. Previously, he held several industry positions, including vice president and general manager at International Paper's xpedx business.
Steve Kirk has been named vice president of operations at GLS Cos., based in Brooklyn Park, MN. In the past, Kirk has held several senior management positions, including serving as GM for Cenveo and vice president of finishing at Quad/Graphics.
Three executives have been promoted at Coloredge, a producer of wide-format tactile and digital display advertising in New York. Terry Tevis, formerly president and CEO, is now chairman of the board. Jeb Ball, executive vice president and COO, is now president and CEO. Sharon Koh, vice president of finance, is now the CFO.
Walt Edwards has joined Arandell Corp., in Menomonee Falls, WI, as senior vice president for manufacturing. He most recently was vice president of manufacturing operations at RR Donnelley's Strasburg, VA, facility.
