Open House Showcases Future of Printing, New HP Indigo 10000 Digital Presses
CLIFTON, NJ—Sandy Alexander recently hosted an event for marketing, design and printing professionals at its headquarters here, titled "The Future of Printing and Marketing Communications." Hundreds of guests turned out for the gathering, which highlighted the company's 1:1 cross-media marketing solutions and its two HP Indigo 10000 digital presses. These are said to be the first two operational HP 10000s in the United States.
In addition to the presentations from Sandy Alexander and its partners (HP, Sappi Paper, Scodix, Yupo Paper and XMPie), guests enjoyed a night club atmosphere in Sandy Alexander's wide- and grand-format/retail visual merchandising facility with food, drinks and live entertainment.

Chanhassen—Proving that it has met high standards for protecting customer and organizational data, IWCO Direct has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System certification through BSI Group America.
St. Louis Park—Japs-Olson Co. has successfully completed a Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit, which covered its direct mail production and commercial printing services from March 1 through Aug. 31, 2013.
Waseca—Brown Printing has acquired its first digital press, a Xerox Nuvera 314EA perfecting production system for variable data, on-demand printing.

Las Vegas—Color Reflections has expanded its sign and display graphics capabilities with an EFI VUTEk GS5000r UV roll-to-roll printer.
North Carolina
Durham—A six-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone G40 has been installed at PBM Graphics, a Consolidated Graphics company, bringing its sheetfed press count up to seven machines.
Ohio
Canton—Joining its four current offset presses, a six-color, 64˝ KBA Rapida 164 large-format sheetfed press with coater has been acquired by Standard Printing. It marks the firm's first KBA press.
DAYTON—Progressive Printers and Thomas Graphics have merged and now operate under the name of Progressive Printers.
Texas
Dallas—Playing card manufacturer Cartamundi installed its first Eagle Systems cold foil system on a KBA 106 press.
