New Press, CTP, Workflow Upgrades Reduce Makeready
FORT WAYNE, IN—Overtime once averaged 20hours per operator per week at Excell Color Graphics. But overtime schedules are quickly fading from memory, thanks to a few new purchases. For the self-described "makeready shop," whose sweet spot is short-to-medium run jobs, makereadies are down from 90 minutes to 15 minutes, and Excell is achieving saleable color in 200 sheets or less.
