Texas Franchise Printer's Success Gets Recognized
GEORGETOWN, TX—Business has blossomed here for Crystal and Ty Gipson, where the two have owned a Minuteman Press franchise since October 2006. As members of the President's Million Dollar Circle, they relocated their business to a building that they purchased and retrofitted.
Recently, Marsha Farney, a member of the Texas state legislature, presented the owners with a legislative resolution commending their involvement in the community, as well recognizing their achievement of earning the Top Overall Performance award from Minuteman Press International.
Supplier Senior Execs Visit Long Island Trade Printer
DEER PARK, NY—All Color Business Specialties hosted several executives from Heidelberg at its facility here recently. Among them were Heidelberger Druckmaschinen CEO Gerold Linzbach and Heidelberg USA President Harald Weimer. They toured the Long Island-based pressroom, viewing All Color's Speedmaster XL 75 press that was installed last May, and a Suprasetter 106 CTP device and Linoprint C751 digital printing system, both acquired shortly after.
The company counts eight other Heidelberg presses, multiple Stahlfolders, ST 90 and ST 100 saddlestitchers, two Polar cutters, a pair of Heidelberg diecutters and Prinect workflow software among its other Heidelberg products in use.
"It cannot be a coincidence that our success has grown by partnering with Heidelberg," said company owner William Bogue.

Boynton Beach—Worldwide Ticketcraft is celebrating its 15-year anniversary. Established in 1999 by Erik Covitz with five employees and one printing press, it has grown to more than 80 staff members.

Prince Frederick—DirectMail.com is now providing an end-to-end direct mail solution for Agoura Hills, CA-based HealthMedia Concepts, a pharmacy marketing specialist serving more than 12,000 independent and small chain pharmacies and pharmaceutical wholesalers nationally.

Roseville—An eight-color, 41˝ KBA Rapida 105 sheetfed UV press equipped with a tower coater and plastics package has been ordered by CPI Card Group for delivery this month. It joins an existing seven-color Rapida 105 model with the same features.
Minneapolis—Bolger Vision Beyond Print has installed a 26˝ Xerox 150 digital color press to provide clients with short-run printing of booklets, brochures, pocket folders, newsletters and direct mail.
New York
Ithaca—Bauer Media has awarded Vanguard Printing a multiyear, multimillion-dollar agreement to print, bind and mail five of its monthly teen magazine titles.
Yorktown Heights—Foley Graphics, a small commercial and digital printing operation since 1979, is now called The Foley Group.

Houston—An HP Indigo 10000 20x29˝ color digital press has joined an existing fleet of Indigo presses at InfoVine, making it the first commercial printer in Southeast Texas to offer this advanced technology.
Spring—The Kwik Copy Business Center here was named a "Small Business of the Year" by the Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center Advisory Council.

Chesapeake—Jones Printing Service has installed its first digital press, a Linoprint C901+ from Heidelberg.
Richmond—B&B has replaced its HP Indigo 5000 with a seven-color HP Indigo 7600 digital press.

Seattle—RPI has partnered with digital invitation company Evite to provide back-end print-on-demand and fulfillment, enabling Evite clients to create and mail custom-printed invitations to guest lists.

Madison—Webcrafters is installing a high-speed Kodak Prosper 5000XLi digital inkjet press to accompany the Prosper 5000XL that it purchased from Kodak three years ago.
