Shop Expands Into Customized, Short-Run Packaging
HUBERTUS, WI—This summer, Graphic Edge Printing & Packaging owners Dale and Dawn Skinkis gently christened a new arrival with a toast of Japanese gold-flecked sake. But no glass was broken because there was business to get done. Within moments, the company’s new five-color, 31˝, six-up RYOBI MHI 755 XLD Packaging Edition press started printing its first live job.
The fully automated press, which prints 16,000 sheets/hr. on onion skin up to 31-pt. board, marks the first RYOBI Packaging Edition installation in North America.
“We can comfortably handle very short runs of 500 boxes all the way up to 600,000 or more,” Dale Skinkis said.
