Printer Strikes Gold With New Iron
ELKO, NV—Print 'N Copy Center, a general commercial printing and copy center, has acquired its third Heidelberg two-color Printmaster QM 46 press to help service the local gold mining industry in what is the largest gold-producing region in North America.
"The new press helps us set a higher mark in terms of the quality of products we deliver and the speed with which we deliver them," says owner Reece Keener. "Greater reliability means fewer delays—our customers appreciate that."
Shop Honored for Fourth Straight Year
OKLAHOMA CITY—Vox Printing was recently recognized as one of the "2010 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma." This is the fourth year in a row that the printer, the highest ranked manufacturer in the state, has been recognized.

LOS ANGELES—The Church of Scientology's Bridge Publications recently equipped its new sheetfed offset operation here with Heidelberg equipment, including a five-color Speedmaster XL 105 with Prinect Inpress Control; two Polar 137 XT cutting systems with Compucut; a Stahlfolder TH 82 folder; and a Varimatrix 105 diecutter with foil stamping.
PALM DESERT—Little Folk Visuals, a producer of materials for early childhood education, churches, schools and parents, has acquired a Heidelberg Suprasetter S105 computer-to-plate unit with a MetaDimension RIP.
SAN LUIS OBISPO—After completing an extensive self-study and hosting a site visit by a three-member team of industry and education experts, the Graphic Communication Department at Cal Poly has received national re-accreditation, which is valid through Aug. 31, 2016.

FORT LAUDERDALE—A Canon C7000 ImagePRESS and two Canon 1110 ImagePRESS units are the latest additions to The PaperMill's digital department to offer clients a range of color and black-and-white variable data projects, including valet parking tickets.
MIAMI—Colonial Press International has begun implementing a complete Prism WIN 2010 management information system (MIS).

LAWRENCEVILLE—Pinnacle 3 Direct Solutions has selected Software Marketing Associates' Pro-Mail suite of direct marketing and fulfillment software to help grow its marketing support services business.

INDIANAPOLIS—HardingPoorman Group has purchased PrintStream MIS software to manage the day-to-day operations of its plant, including estimating, production, scheduling, inventory, postage and accounting.
MASSACHUSETTS
WESTFIELD—Six months after installing its first HP Indigo WS6000, Dion Label Printing took delivery of a second unit it used to upgrade from its WS4050. The printer benefits from the increased speed, print width, repeat length and ability to print on thinner or thicker substrates.
MICHIGAN
ROYAL OAK—Signs By Tomorrow, based here, has purchased an Agfa Anapurna M4f UV inkjet printer to offer new products and services, including POP, displays, posters, exhibition panels, stage graphics and ad panels.
Royal Oak High School has received the Printing Industries of America's 2010 Frederick D. Kagy Education Award of Excellence for implementing and maintaining a thriving graphic communications program.
MINNESOTA
MINNEAPOLIS—The Bureau of Engraving, a 112-year-old national commercial printing and distance art instruction business, has been granted Women's Business Enterprise Certification (WBENC) as a women-owned, operated and controlled business. Lynne Alexander serves as the business's chair and CEO.
MISSOURI
ST. JOSEPH—A five-color Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74 perfector with aqueous coater and extended delivery has replaced an aging six-color press at NPG Printing here.
ST. LOUIS—VSG is now using the Pro-Mail suite of direct marketing and fulfillment software solutions to help broaden its fulfillment business. VSG is a licensed replicator for CDs and DVDs, and provides related services such as fulfillment, authoring and interactive database management.
NEW JERSEY
BELLMAWR—Evergreen Printing announced that the Philadelphia Business Journal and Media General have selected it to print and mail various publications and supplements for each company.
NORTH CAROLINA
MOORESVILLE—Victory Press has added a Kluge 13x19˝ letterpress to help it keep costs down in a tight market, according to owners Dave and Lori Sirota.

DALLAS—Gigantic Color has installed an HP XL800 latex printer.
WISCONSIN
APPLETON—Adding a four-color MGI Meteor DP60 Pro digital press has helped JP Graphics expand its business into new digital markets, including new applications on plastic and synthetic substrates. The four-color, multi-substrate press is intended for shorter runs and has numerous applications for paper, plastics/synthetics and envelopes.
