DENVER—To address a decrease in run lengths and the demand for personalization, Turbo Press has added a Xerox Color 800 press to complement its offset business.
LITTLETON—The AlphaGraphics franchise located here also purchased a Xerox 800 press.

HARTFORD—To meet FDA and customer demands for water-based inks, Merritt Graphics has installed an HP Scitex LX800 wide-format printer that uses HP latex inks.

NAPERVILLE—Kent and Julie Phillips, owners of Sir Speedy Printing, recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of their business. The shop provides both printing and marketing services.
INDIANA
INDIANAPOLIS—Printing Partners, an FSC certified and G7 Master Printer with 100 employees, has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certification.
FLORIDA
MIAMI—The in-plant printing facility that serves Miami-Dade County has installed a Suprasetter 74 thermal CTP device with Heidelberg Prinect workflow.
MARYLAND
ODENTON—Gasch Printing, a family owned commercial printer specializing in short-run book printing, has installed an Océ ColorStream 10000 Flex toner-based digital web press.
MICHIGAN
DETROIT—Fifty-year-old commercial printing and mailing company Mel Printing has purchased an HP Indigo 7500 digital press to complement its offset printing capabilities.
GRAND RAPIDS—A Meteor DP60 Pro multi-substrate digital press and DF360 paper finisher from MGI USA are the latest additions to Grand Rapids Community College's Print Solutions division.
MINNESOTA
MINNEAPOLIS—Meyers has purchased an eight-color, 98˝ Durst Rho 900 wide-format UV printer to produce prototype work, store sets, variable imaging, market-specific graphics or any kind of short-run work.
NEW YORK
BROOKLYN—Installing a new five-color, 29˝ Presstek 75DI digital offset press with aqueous coater has allowed Advanced Digital Printing to increase its production capacity The firm also operates a Presstek 52DI-AC press.
NORTH CAROLINA
HENDERSONVILLE—NC Printing, a digital and wide-format operation formed by Neil Roberts and Keli Speranza in August 2010, recently expanded and moved into a new facility.
VALDESE—A six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LX sheetfed offset press has been acquired by Valdese Packaging & Label. The litho and flexo operation previously operated two six-color, 28˝ Mitsubishi presses.
OREGON
PORTLAND—PhotoCraft, a provider of in-store signage, pop-up displays, gift card carriers and commercial graphic images owned by Taylor Corp., has added an eight-color Roland 700 perfecting press that was relocated from one of its sister companies. It also signed up for manroland's PrintValue portfolio of services.
PENNSYLVANIA
PITTSBURGH—Knepper Press' purchase of Pittsburgh-based Multiscope's digital and offset printing business unit is now complete, with all personnel and equipment fully integrated into Knepper's Clinton, PA, facility.
WILKES BARRE—Fulfillment provider Karol Media has purchased Software Marketing Associates' Pro-Mail suite of direct marketing and fulfillment software solutions.
TEXAS
EL PASO—Universal Graphics has transitioned from a film-based to a direct-to-plate workflow by adding a new Heidelberg Prosetter violet platesetter with MetaDimension RIP.
VIRGINIA
RICHMOND—Cadmus Communications, a Cenveo company, has installed an eight-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LS sheetfed press.
