Richard Nichols has been named CEO of Goss International, replacing Jochen Meissner. In other news, the GossRSVP mobile messaging platform has been acquired by J.V. Rockwell Publishing. Goss RSVP will be further developed, marketed and supported by Cumulus Interactive Technologies Group, the software development division of J.V. Rockwell Publishing.
Blanks/USA was featured on “Manufacturing Marvels” as part of a program that spotlights American manufacturers, their products, services and production. The two-minute promotion, which aired June 12 on the Fox Business Network, captured footage from the company’s production floor and focused on products, such as its Kan’t Kopy security and prescription paper and digital presentation folders.
xpedx has begun the exclusive distribution of Appleton Coated’s new Utopia Inkjet Gloss web paper for commercial printing applications. Other Appleton Coated Utopia inkjet papers that xpedx distributes include Utopia Inkjet Dull (publishing, commercial printing, direct mail); Utopia Book Inkjet Matte (book publishing); and Utopia Uncoated Inkjet with ColorPRO Technology.
Ken Ferguson has joined INX International Ink as technical manager for distributors and, in his new role, has assumed national responsibilities. Ferguson comes to INX after spending the last 18 years at Van Son Holland Ink in a similar role.
Don Coggswell has been selected for the newly created position of Western regional sales director at KBA North America, handling the states of Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. He is also responsible for the commercial web sales effort of KBA’s web division in this region. Coggswell reports to Soren Larsen, senior vice president of sales.
Five new Gill-Line field sales managers were hired at Gill Studios. Joe Gavern now handles the greater Southern California territory; Jaime Becker has been hired to represent the greater Chicago region; Gene Guire is covering the greater Florida area; Jennifer Sedran has been designated to serve the greater New York/New Jersey territory; and Danielle Davidson has been hired to handle the greater Texas territory.
Pitney Bowes has opened an R&D center in Pune, India—its second center in the country—that will focus on R&D for its global portfolio, including the Volly digital mailbox solution. PI
