Heidelberg USA has announced several structural and organizational changes. Jim Dunn, president of Heidelberg USA, will be retiring after 34 years of service to the print media industry. Harald Weimer will become the new president and assume the role of market head for North America effective later this year. Also, Andy Rae, the former Southern divisional director for Heidelberg UK, has assumed the position of senior vice president-equipment, lead market Atlanta. John Rocker is the new senior vice president of sales; Ed Young is now vice president of national accounts. Dan Maurer has taken on responsibility for Heidelberg's digital portfolio as vice president of product management, digital print and postpress. In other company news, Bernhard Schreier, chairman of the management board at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, is the new Drupa 2012 president and chairman of the Exhibitors' Advisory Board.
Two appointments have been made at xpedx. Donel Autin has been named CFO, and is now a member of the xpedx senior lead team and International Paper's finance lead team. Steve Bowden, vice president and company officer at International Paper, has been selected as xpedx's new executive vice president of marketing and strategy, and will continue as a member of the xpedx senior lead team. In other company news, xpedx is implementing a national recycling program in association with International Paper. As part of the program, xpedx seeks to recycle 2,400 tons of material in 2011, and reduce its waste by 10 percent annually during the next three years.
Leslie Stern, former CEO of National Envelope and Central Lewmar, has been appointed president of Bell and Howell. He reports to George Marton, CEO.
Brazilian plate manufacturer IBF Industria Brasileira de Filmes has partnered with Nustream Graphic America to distribute, on an exclusive basis, all IBF-branded products in North America. Nustream will be serving dealers in North America from the company's new facility in Raleigh, NC. It will not sell direct to end users. PI
