manroland AG has opened a new Western Hemisphere warehouse in Elk Grove Village, IL, to increase support for customers and the manroland service organization throughout North, Central and South America. The new warehouse will provide customers with more immediate availability to service parts for the manufacturer's sheetfed and web offset presses.
Two appointments have been made at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Rick Taylor has been promoted to president and COO of the company. Bill Corry has joined as vice president of strategic acquisitions and business development, and now reports to Taylor. Corry most recently worked at Ricoh Americas.
Eric Owen has been named Kodak's vice president of worldwide sales and business development, Digital Printing Solutions. As a 15-year Kodak veteran who served in various positions, Owen will continue to be instrumental in the rollout of the company's Prosper Press inkjet platform.
EFI made a donation of $45,000 to the Red Cross for the Japan earthquake and tsunami relief efforts. This amount was generated by a 30-day employee donation matching program that the company put in place specifically for the relief fund.
At Finch Paper, Connie Sukeforth Harrison has been named manager of digital business development, a newly created position. Mary Schilling has joined as digital applications manager. Both Harrison and Schilling report to Sheldon Spicer, sales director for digital and corporate accounts.
Three new appointments have been made at Presstek Inc. to augment its Western region sales organization. Kurt Curtis, Owen Ryan and Wayne Fleshman are now responsible for selling Presstek's range of capital equipment and thermal plates, including chemistry-free Aurora EXP plates and the Presstek 75DI digital offset press.
