Scott Brown has joined xpedx as a national sales representative for Ryobi large-format presses, responsible for capital equipment sales in the central and southern United States. Brown previously held sales positions at Heidelberg and Komori.
Xingraphics recently held its fourth technical workshop at its headquarters in Chengdu, China. The theme of the workshop was "Share and Cooperation." Attendees also had an opportunity to view a live demonstration of Xingraphics' Fit eCO processless thermal CTP plate technology.
MGI USA announced the second major expansion of its U.S. dealer network, adding three new dealers: Fuller Grafix, Alpha Imaging Technologies and Standard Dynamics. The three new MGI dealers now cover territories including New England, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, providing sales and service support for MGI's full range of digital printing and finishing solutions.
NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies has elected D.J. Burgess, Burgess Industries, as its new chairman. Four new directors were also elected to the NPES Board for a three-year term. They include: Mal Baboyian, Océ North America; Mark Kannenberg, RBP Chemical Technology; Ronald Rose, Nova Pressroom Products; and Gina Testa, Xerox Corp. In other news, NPES awarded its Harold W. Gegenheimer Individual and Corporate Awards for Industry Service to W. Bruce Goodwin, of Glunz & Jensen, and Xerox Corp., respectively.

Standard Finishing Systems has appointed Absolute Printing Equipment Service to represent the Standard Horizon product line in Indiana and Kentucky.
Paper and Dust Pros/Baler Service, a specialist in air conveyed scrap handling systems and reconditioned recycling equipment such as balers and shredders, has moved its operation into a larger facility in Grandview, MO. The new space enables a larger inventory for parts and quicker turnaround times.
INX International Ink announced the retirement of Charlie Weinholzer, who has held many management positions and was a member of the INX board of directors until last year.
Carrington Herbert has been appointed national sales director for print finishing products at Muller Martini. A 27-year Muller Martini sales veteran, the company's book and saddlestitching divisions now report to Carrington.
