EU Services, a direct mail marketing firm, pairs strategically with Com-Pak Services, based here, within Maidstone’s portfolio. EU Services owner John Loudon will maintain an ownership position and remain active in the business’ operations.
Vijuk, 68, Founded Distributor
JACKSONVILLE, FL—Joe Vijuk, a co-founder of Vijuk Equipment and an inventor with more than 40 patents, died July 2 at Baptist Medical Center. He was 68. The former Canadian Football League player founded the Elmhurst, IL, folding and finishing equipment distribution firm with his father and brother, and ran it for 40 years before selling it in 2012.

RRD Shutters Argentine Plant
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA—Unable to forge a deal with local unions and facing numerous economic challenges, like rising labor costs, materials price increases, devaluation and an inability to pay debts, RR Donnelley’s production plant here filed for bankruptcy and closed, leaving 400 workers without jobs. The plant produced a number of high-circulation magazines.
Mark Andy Sold to Group
ST. LOUIS—Mark Andy Inc., a provider of label and package printing equipment, support, supplies and consumables, announced that an investment group formed by P.J. Desai, Mark Andy’s former CEO, and the current management team has completed the purchase of the company from American Industrial Partners Capital Fund IV (AIP). AIP will continue as a minority investor in Mark Andy, along with Graycliff Partners.
RIT Organizes CMIC Summit

Vomela Obtains Master Print
ST. PAUL, MN—Vomela Specialty, based here, announced it has completed the acquisition of Master Print, of Newington, VA. The acquired company will continue to operate under the name Master Print and will function as a division of Vomela Specialty. Master Print is a commercial printer that provides an array of services including design support, single through multi-color offset printing, digital printing, storefront and e-commerce solutions, and mailing and distribution services.
