Conlin's Digital Print Goes for (Metallic) Gold with New Xerox Iridesse Press
NORWALK, Conn. - August 9, 2018 - Conlin’s Digital Print is among the first graphic communications providers in North America to acquire a Xerox Iridesse Production Press. The Philadelphia-area digital printer plans to target new vertical markets and current customers that can benefit from Iridesse’s unique ability to deliver eye-catching spot embellishments and metallic hues all with unmatched image quality.
“We’re constantly looking to upgrade to new and higher quality equipment,” said Bill Conlin Jr., account executive, Conlin’s Digital Print. “Once we got a demo of the Iridesse, it was clear there was nothing else on the market like it. We are confident that this press will set us apart in the market, allowing us to secure new business in a variety of key verticals.”
The Iridesse is the only digital press that can print metallic gold or silver, CMYK and clear dry ink in a single pass, delivering stunning iridescent colors and embellishments never seen before in digitally printed pieces. Conlin’s expects the new press will help its customers stand out in their markets, while fueling continued growth for the firm’s digital color printing segment-a top growth area along with mailing and wide-format printing.
Conlin’s will use the new press to produce a range of point-of-purchase displays, invitations, direct mail pieces, corporate marketing collateral and business cards for its 1,000 customers in marketing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, software, real estate, engineering and other industries. Conlin’s plans to market the Iridesse’s capabilities to prospects in retail, design and real estate, due to anticipated interest in the press’ expanded palette.
“We’re here for two reasons: our customers and our employees,” said Bill Conlin, president and owner, Conlin’s Digital Print. “Our relationship with Xerox, as a Premier Partner, has enabled us to offer our customers some of the greatest innovations in digital printing over the last 38 years and Iridesse is another great innovation.”
In addition to the 15 Xerox devices that Conlin’s has in its print arsenal, it also leverages Xerox FreeFlow Core to automate and streamline production workflows and XMPie software in the execution of cross-media campaigns and web storefronts. The new Iridesse was installed on June 20 at the print shop’s King of Prussia location and has been operational as of June 29.
