CGX Event Attracts 750 Customers
SAN ANTONIO—With most printing companies dialing back on their marketing spend, Consolidated Graphics (CGX) gave a Texas-size welcome to about 750 of its clients during the second annual emerge conference held here. The two-day event featured educational seminars, a business expo and plentiful networking opportunities.
CGX's aim was to provide clients with tools to enable them to make more informed decisions related to printing and technology. Ideas were presented on how to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and increase revenues.
CGX didn't go it alone, however; 30 industry suppliers, experts and innovators set up shop at the conference, including HP, Kodak and Adobe.
"We look at emerge not only as a way to share the most innovative, advanced print solutions, but also as a chance to listen to our customers and respond to their needs," noted Aaron Grohs, CGX executive vice president of sales and marketing. "This is an example of how CGX is always thinking one step ahead, strengthening our world-leading digital platform and pushing the boundaries of what our industry can accomplish."
Among the breakout session topics covered were personalization and multi-touch marketing; utilizing variable video to increase response rates; Web-to-print solutions that improve processes and reduce obsolescence and waste; and the truth and fantasy of green printing and sustainability.
