Consolidated Graphics to Install Kodak Prosper 5000XL Digital Press

ROCHESTER, NY—Dec. 17, 2009—Consolidated Graphics, Inc. (CGX) and Kodak announced that CGX will install a Kodak Prosper 5000XL digital color press. Richard A. Davis, executive vice president of CGX, traveled to Kodak’s ink-jet headquarters in Dayton, OH, for the official contract signing. Consolidated Graphics, headquartered in Houston, is one of North America’s leading general commercial printing companies and is recognized as one of the world’s largest digital printers.

Based on Kodak Stream Inkjet Technology, the Prosper 5000XL press represents a breakthrough in production ink-jet printing, providing offset class quality, productivity and cost, across a wide range of coated and uncoated stocks. The Prosper 5000XL press for color applications is part of the Kodak Prosper Press Platform, which also includes the Kodak Prosper 1000 Press for monochrome printing. Prosper press installations will begin in the first quarter of 2010.
