Consolidated Graphics To Acquire American Litho

HOUSTON—Consolidated Graphics announced it has signed a letter of intent to acquire American Lithographers, a division of Smurfit Packaging, which has facilities in both Hayward and Sacramento, CA.

Joe Davis, chairman and CEO of Consolidated Graphics, is happy to see the company expand upon its California presence with the acquisition. He adds that American Lithographers is one of the state's top web and sheetfed printers.

Kenneth Bittner, general manager of American Lithographers, said the company is looking forward to joining forces with Consolidated Graphics. "This is a positive step for American Litho. We are pleased to join a company that is fully committed to long-term growth in the commercial printing business."
