SUN PRAIRIE, WI—December 17, 2013—CTI Paper USA, one of the largest suppliers of premium digital and offset printing papers and envelopes in North America, has given its packaging a “elevating and elegant” new look.
The new packaging is used on all digital-size and cut-size ream wrap and cartons across CTI’s brand portfolio, including Kromekote, Aspire Petallics, Glama Natural and Currency.
“We wanted our new packaging to demonstrate that our papers represent among the very best in coated and uncoated printing substrates today: high-value, high-performance and high-quality,” said John Kelly, president and co-owner of CTI Paper USA. “We’re serious about investing in ways that directly benefit our customers.”
The new packaging has already expanded the profile of CTI’s branded papers among users—and provides increased shelf visibility and appeal at paper merchant retail stores across the United States and Canada. CTI’s products are sold to print service providers, businesses and consumers primarily through North American paper merchants.
The packaging was co-designed by Gerard Design, Warrenville, IL, and CTI Paper USA. It incorporates the traditional monochrome CTI Paper USA logo, adds in CTI’s longstanding corporate soft blue—PANTONE 549c—together with a vibrant green and lighter blue. The company’s iconic print action element takes on expanded visibility in the two blues, the green and traditional bright white.
“We wanted to splash in clean, fresh color on the action element to spotlight the art and craft of print,” explained Kelly. “But we also wanted to keep plenty of white space to ensure a clean design and strong focus on the company name and logo.”
Kelly said the new packaging is doing its job: to date, it has generated unanimous praise from designers, printers and paper merchants.
