“We are replacing older capacity with another advanced Sunday press ideally suited for our specialized, makeready intensive environment,” Elliott explains. “We know first hand that this platform allows us to provide significant cost, quality and versatility advantages for our customers.”
The new nine-unit, two-web Sunday 2000 web offset press will allow Dartmouth operators to produce a wide variety of signatures with up to 32 pages. The system will be equipped with Goss Contiweb splicers, Ecocool dryers, QPL automated plate loading technology and a PCF-1 pinless folder. Goss Omnicon controls will integrate closed-loop systems as well as advanced presetting, reporting, job storage and remote diagnostics.
