Toof Commercial Obtains American Digital

MEMPHIS, TN—Toof Commercial Printing, a firm that traces its roots back to the Civil War era, has consummated a deal for American Digital, The Commercial Appeal reported. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

American Digital will operate as a division of Toof, retaining its individual brand, but will transfer its 17 employees to Toof's headquarters by spring. Kim Webb, owner of American Digital, will remain in his role as president of that division. Toof currently employs 100 but expects that total to grow beyond the expansion, Toof COO Rick Smith told the newspaper.

Smith said the deal will enable Toof to bolster its offerings in areas such as digital and offset printing, wide-format printing, direct mail and e-commerce.
