DG Press Services to Emphasize Print on Flexible Substrates at drupa

EERBEEK, THE NETHERLANDS—March 25, 2012—DG Press Services, Dutch press manufacturer and internationally renowned for its service on Drent Goebel machines, is proud to confirm its attendance at drupa 2012 in Düsseldorf, Germany. From May 3-16 in hall 15, booth B24, the company will showcase different solutions for streamlined production processes in the label and packaging industry.

As production and other costs are rising while print runs are getting smaller and the amount of print jobs increases, DG press Services helps printers to streamline their production in order to achieve cost-efficiency.

At Labelexpo last year, the company introduced their Vision SP press, the newest member of its family of narrow web offset printing presses. This press has been meeting the requirements of the current market climate and is by now available in 520 and 850 mm width. Equipped with unique features such as servo-motor driven impression cylinders that are separately driven from the plate and blanket cylinders, the Vision SP allows for printing on paper and lightweight cardboards including small folding cartons.

In addition, web tension between the printing units is arranged in such a way that all kinds of films like polypropylene, polyester, nylon, aluminum and laminates can be printed upon with an exactness that looks for comparison. An easily exchangeable two-cylinder cassette system enables variable cut-off.

White printing units, coating units or digital printing technologies for print on transparent, aluminum foil or other substrates as well as a flexo unit can be implemented at any position in the press. In addition the Vision SP can be obtained as an upgrade package for existing Vision presses thus enabling utilization as a packaging press.

DG Press Services will be showcasing this unique solution at drupa 2012 in hall 15, booth B24.

The shaft-driven Gazelle offset presses enable fast job format changes. Increased efficiency and high quality prints are some of the outstanding features of this family of presses that by now is available in two models, 6T and 9S. Vision presses that incorporate the three-cylinder cassette system (much as Gazelle presses) for variable cut-off will also be showcased with two fully refurbished units at DG press ServiceS booth at drupa.
