DGM to Showcase Cold Foil with Indexing UV Cast and Cure Systems at PRINT 13
RED BANK, NJ—August 13, 2013—Diversified Graphic Machinery (DGM) will demonstrate its exclusive Foildex Cold Foil technology with indexing, Filmdex Cast and Cure systems and its full range of print enhancement and cost reduction equipment in booth 258, located in the Green Space at PRINT 13 in Chicago.
“Indexing of Cold Foil is the buzzword in print packaging industry this year,” explained Michael DeBard, Diversified Graphic Machinery's president. “We invite packaging printers to see our equipment on display and learn about the significant opportunities for foil savings with the DGM Foildex Cold Foil Technology.”
DGM Foildex Cold Foil Technology with Indexing
DGM’s patent pending Foildex cold foil application systems offers unique foil saving features, including the indexing of cold foil in the running direction of the press. These features, coupled with the ability to run multiple webs of foil across the width of the press allows for tremendous foil savings for each job.
DGM Foildex Technology will save you up to 82 percent of your cold foil waste for each job and replaces older cold foil systems which use the equivalent of the circumference of the blanket cylinder, about 37” for each sheet that passes through the press. Irrespective of the amount of foil needed for a particular job, reducing cold foil waste also has a significant environmental impact on any already fully recyclable product.
Cost, of course is only one aspect of achieving a spectacular print finish but at the same time the Foildex system bring significant enhancement and added value to the printed product. Much of the development work for the Foildex system has focused on flexible and precise control of the operation to allow all types of foil to be applied in all possible applications. It is well known that different widths of foils and foils from different manufacturers require different control parameters on the press to give the best possible application of each, such controls are a unique feature of the Foildex range of equipment. DGM’s exclusive Indexing Cold Foil Technology is designed to work with almost any existing printing press.
DGM Filmdex UV Cast and Cure Technology
Similar parameters of low cost and spectacular finishes applies to the Filmdex range of equipment which produces 3-D imaging in the surface of a UV varnish for pennies per sheet and a “wow” factor way beyond what the cost would imply. The Cast and Cure holographic effect, exclusively available from DGM is achieved with a lithographic process utilizing UV technology and a nano-embossing casting film with a controlled system. Cast and Cure is a Sustainable Manufacturing Process in which the Cast and Cure film is fully recyclable. The Cast and Cure effect is created using a recyclable UV coating or UV varnish and does not emit any harmful VOC’s. Cast and Cure also reduces your overall carbon footprint. DGM is the only company in North America to have already installed equipment for both of these unique applications.
Diversified Graphic Machinery will also highlight its hot foil stamping, diecutting technologies and complete line of print enhancement capabilities at PRINT 13.
