FCL Graphics Makes Digital Printing, Bindery Investments
HARWOOD HEIGHTS, IL—FCL Graphics, a printer of marketing and direct mail materials, announced major investments to enhance and expand services to marketers and producers of communication materials.
The investments include a Xerox Color 1000 digital color press for high-speed production of personalized and digitally printed marketing pieces. This new generation Xerox is a 100 ppm, 2,400 dpi, four-color device, and the first production digital printer to use Xerox’s low-melt EA dry ink and no fuser oil.
In the bindery, two high-speed automatic Muller Martini saddlestitchers have been added to increase capacity and speed in delivering one- or two-up saddlestitched products.
For mailing, FCL Graphics has added an MCS 600 Array inkjet unit providing up to 6˝ of inkjet printing at speeds to 36,000 pages/hour. The MCS Array imager utilizes HP’s high-resolution imager and can handle a wide variety of stocks and ink sets.
“The addition of this equipment is strategically important because it shows our targeted investment in solutions to meet the needs of our customers,” said Michael Ford, president and CEO of FCL Graphics. “Our customers look to us to make the investments required to provide the latest innovations to help them create effective communication pieces and to generate greater return on investment from their marketing and communication materials.”
