If a file isn't certified as OK, the user receives a report containing easy-to-understand error messages. When a file does pass, the Connector includes delivery settings and sends a preflighted PDF file via FTP or Enfocus Switch to the printer.

Alternatively, the Instant PDF 09 upgrade brings its press-ready Certified PDF creation capabilities to Adobe Creative Suite 5, QuarkXPress 8 and Windows 7. Selecting "Save as Certified PDF" from an application's "File" menu initiates a PDF file creation process—with preflighting and automatic correction of common errors—based on profiles set up by a print service provider. Completed files can be submitted to the printer via e-mail, FTP or the Enfocus PowerSwitch automated workflow.
