Inkjet decoration on three-dimensional containers is an exciting new technology that is opening the door to new possibilities within the packaging market. Mike Thompson from KBA-Kammann (Booth 4013) will present its hybrid inkjet technology for printing direct to container. KBA-Kammann utilizes a hybrid approach, which includes screen printing and inkjet technology for direct to container printing, and it allows for printing on ovals, squares, conical as well as round plastic or glass containers. Thompson is responsible for the business development and sales management of KBA-Kammann’s machine technology in the Eastern US and Canada. KBA-Kammann is globally recognized for screen printing machinery, and has recently introduced digital printing on 3D multi-shape objects. Over a span of 30 years in the graphic arts field, Thompson has held positions in engineering, product management, technical sales and sales for Heidelberg and Goss International. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
