DocuCopies West Celebrates Growth at Newer Facility with New Employees, Equipment
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — March 31, 2016 — This month, DocuCopies.com marked two years at its second, larger California facility. Expanding to a larger warehouse space behind the San Luis Obispo airport allowed the online color printing company to expand and take on more business from California and across the U.S.
Since this move, the company has doubled its number of printers, hired several new team members, launched into new services like wide-format printing and expanded its shipping and receiving department. The surplus space also allows it to stock a greater quantity paper and binding supplies, ensuring the speediest turnaround possible on all its digital printing jobs, large and small.
"None of this growth would have been possible from our original California location," says Mike Lindahl, the general manager at DocuCopies West. "Now we can do all these things and still have room to add more for quite a while before we have to think about moving again."
The team at DocuCopies.com have been in the printing industry since the 1980s. In 2012, DocuCopies expanded to California and has been gathering more customers in the western states and across the country ever since. Above all, the company strives to stay in touch with what its customers expect and want, which sometimes includes requests for new products and services. The management welcomes this kind of feedback.
"If there's something we don't offer that one of our clients wants, we would rather look into the feasibility of offering it than have them looking somewhere else for that product," says Jeff Corbo, the company's VP and director of marketing. "The fact that they can call up and talk to a live human at the facility where their job is printed, in a manner of seconds, is a big bonus that a lot of people don't expect in today's business culture, so we welcome feedback of any kind by phone or email."
