MCCLELLAN PARK, Calif. - January 21, 2019 - The Dome family is saddened to report the passing of Ray Poole on January 11.
Ray Poole, the founder and visionary of Dome, in Sacramento Calif., passed away peacefully at the age of 80. Born November 10, 1938, Ray began his printing career at the age of 16 as an apprentice and he took great pride in becoming an industry craftsman. He took ownership of Dome Printing and Lithograph in 1969, building the foundation for what is now one of California’s leading family-owned printing facilities.
Ray will be remembered in the industry as a great friend, good golfer and for his quest to do business right. His valued reputation amongst clients, vendors and his employees was of being stern, yet fair and honest. Ray was also an excellent mentor to his sons, Tim Poole, Bob Poole and Andy Poole, helping them build successful careers in the industry.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 27, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m, at Valley Hi Country Club in Elk Grove, Calif. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Ray Poole's memory: https://act.alz.org/site/Donation
