Georgia Facility Latest in String of RRD Closures

CHICAGO—RR Donnelley will permanently close its East Point, GA, plant in July, with more than 100 employees losing their jobs, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The company has been paring down its facility ranks in recent weeks, with nearly 400 jobs lost in Indiana and Iowa closures.

The East Point facility will close July 23. About 40 positions will reportedly be made available for Donnelley employees to join the printer's Chamblee, GA, plant. Donnelley cited "changing market conditions" for the closure in a filing with the Georgia Department of Labor.
