Bay Photo Lab Installs Canon DreamLabo 5000 Production Inkjet Printer
MELVILLE, N.Y. — March 8, 2016 – Canon U.S.A., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is proud to announce that California’s Bay Photo Lab has agreed to acquire Canon’s celebrated DreamLabo 5000 for its photo printing services. With the DreamLabo printer’s ability to print accurate and vibrant colors at 2400 dpi, Bay Photo Lab, located outside of Santa Cruz, will expand its product lineup to support high-end applications for the needs of its core customers: professional photographers. The first printer of its kind installed on the west coast, Bay Photo Lab’s DreamLabo 5000 joins others already located on the east coast and in the central United States.
With the emergence of digital photography, fast-paced photo production environments have quickly needed to adapt and invest in solutions that will help their organization remain competitive. With nearly 40 years in the industry, Bay Photo Lab has dedicated themselves to meeting the needs of their customers by providing exceptional service that includes fast turnaround and professional quality output. The DreamLabo 5000 is an ideal addition to Bay Photo Lab’s operation, offering flexibility and color consistency that older print technology cannot, helping to provide the company the edge needed for a successful business model.
"Bay Photo Lab takes pride in providing professional photographers with the highest quality prints, relying on the finest equipment available for their output. The DreamLabo is a perfect fit for our needs,” explains Bay Photo President Larry Abitbol.
The Canon DreamLabo 5000 production inkjet printer offers optimal performance and productivity to retail photo printing and high-end print-on-demand (POD) markets. Its integration of FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print-head technology provides outstanding photo and text quality. The printer also offers an alternative to traditional silver halide processing technology, coupling its strengths with the advantages of inkjet printing. The DreamLabo 5000 Printer features automatic double-sided printing, lending itself to printing photo albums and on-demand two-sided documents. For increased productivity, it can print approximately 1,000 A4 pages an hour.
