Drummond Press Makes Major Capital Investment in Digital Printing
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — April 18, 2017 — Drummond Press today announced that it has made a series of major investments in order to support continuing growth in its business. The company added new capabilities that will enhance the brand management services Drummond provides to customers in the retail, manufacturing, distribution, and education markets.
The investment includes the EFI VUTEk HS125 device which enables retailers — and other businesses who use posters, banners, window clings and back-lit signs — to benefit from the latest "white ink technology." This technology creates branding imagery that is significantly brighter, delivering higher fidelity imagery to attract consumer attention. In addition, Drummond has implemented the Ricoh 9110 production digital system and Kodak Magnus platesetters in the company’s Jacksonville and Atlanta facilities, along with two Konica Minolta 1050s with inline booklet makers in Atlanta.
John Falconetti, chairman and CEO, of Drummond Press states, “This technology set is a game changer for our customers, enabling them to create branded messages that are significantly more realistic and vibrant than ever before.” Falconetti adds, “this investment exemplifies our commitment to markets who need to get the attention of consumers in order to grow their business.”
Marc Olin, CFO for EFI, adds, “Drummond’s investment in our latest technology, including our VUTEk HS125 and our Fiery Digital Front End shows that the company is truly on the leading edge of consumer communications and efficiency. Not only does the EFI VUTEk HS125 device increase resolution and visibility, but it does so at a production speed that is ten times faster than Drummond’s previous devices.”
Stephen Horne, president, Drummond Press Atlanta, also shares, "We continue to invest in production processes that create value for our customers across a broad range of marketing, education and operational applications. This new technology set delivers shorter cycle times, lower overall costs, and exceptional production quality for our customers."
