drupa 2012 to offer Highlights Tours for the International Trade Fair Public
DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY—Feb. 27, 2012—A visit to drupa is a must for skilled specialists and managers of the printing industry. After all, like no other industry event, this trade fair provides the opportunity to directly compare the products and services of the international technology leaders as well as of many newcomers. drupa 2012 is also of significant importance because all of the industry’s important future trends will be presented here.
In this context, most visitors come to the trade fair with clearly defined areas of interest. In order for the specialists to get an easy overview of individual thematic areas, drupa offers 10 different Highlights Tours covering the latest industry developments. The tours range from production control and web-to-print through offset and digital printing right up to packaging production and finishing.
Special tours such as “Green Printing” “Functional Printing” are specifically devoted to the innovation potential of the industry. “The Highlights Tours have become an integral part of drupa. They enhance the specialist supporting program, which already plays an ever more important role, with an essential factor: Personal assistance for the visitors,” states Manuel Mataré, director of drupa, and thus emphasizes the importance of the Highlights Tours.
The participants will be taken in small groups to visit six to eight selected exhibitors of the respective tour. There they will meet up with competent contact persons.
“Keeping the trade fair visitors‘ interest uppermost in our minds, we select the exhibitors and contact persons with the greatest care. Definitely a fantastic service: The tour participants get a lot of useful information in a concentrated period of time and can thus optimize their drupa visit,” states Bernhard Niemela, Deutscher-Drucker Editor in Chief, summarizing the concept of the Highlights Tours.
The Highlights Tours to all themes take place daily (except at the weekend) in English and in German. In addition, selected tours are also offered in Chinese, French, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish. These tours are realized in cooperation with international partners from the respective countries.
As was already the case in 2000, 2004 und 2008, the drupa Highlights Tours are organized by the Deutscher Drucker Verlagsgesellschaft in collaboration with the FDI - Fachverband Führungskräfte der Druckindustrie und Informationsverarbeitung (Association of Executive Managers in the Graphic Arts Industry and Information Processing) as well as the faculty of print and media technology at the University of Wuppertal.
If booked in advance, the participation fees amount to €45 (from February 2012 at: www.highlightstouren.de), €50 if booked during the trade fair.
