Dscoop Announces Details of Second Annual HP Indigo Users Conference
CHICAGO, IL—October 3, 2006—Celebrating its first anniversary and the successes of its inaugural year, the Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) announces the dates for its second annual conference which will take place February 1-3, 2007, at the Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida.
Dscoop, a dynamic, user-driven community of HP Indigo press owners and their sales, marketing and production teams, is gaining momentum after celebrating its one year anniversary this month. What started from scratch just a year ago has evolved into the world’s largest printing solutions provider cooperative, working to bring creative ideas to the market and help their members be more profitable.
A valued and growing users group, Dscoop boasts more than 1,330 members from 540 member companies. In its first year, Dscoop has delivered customers more than 24 Webinars covering label and packaging, technical and business related topics, and the Dscoop Discussion Forum – Dscoop’s Web-based collaboration tool – has received nearly 55,000 hits to date.
More than 300 customers attended the 2006 event, and had access to more than 40 sessions related to the business, sales and technical sides of the business. Attendees were also able to meet face to face with more than 30 partners and had direct access to HP executives and Indigo product specialists.
“The 2006 conference was simply outstanding,” said Kent Ohler, Ideal Printers, Inc. “The speaking engagements were full of valuable information and the opportunity to interact with fellow prepress operators and share solutions was fantastic. There’s no way I’m missing the conference in 2007!”
Dscoop is hosting its 2007 event to bring together the user community and HP executives, representatives, and partners to facilitate knowledge sharing and networking among the entire community for a second time.
“Building on the momentum of last year’s event, the 2007 Dscoop Annual Conference promises to deliver even more education opportunities and networking with an expanded customer gathering,” said Jack Glacken, chairman of Dscoop and president of Today’s Graphics, Inc. “We are thrilled to have the support of HP and the entire customer community to enhance the business success of HP Indigo customers.”
“I feel the 2006 Dscoop event was one of the better conferences I’ve had the pleasure of attending,” said Pamela Stubbs, Magnetic Attractions. “One of the final seminars I chose to attend was ‘participate in the future with the Digital Solutions Cooperative’. Judging by the ideas and participants’ enthusiasm, I feel it would only be to our advantage to continue participating with Dscoop and attend the 2007 conference.”
Further details on the 2007 event including the conference agenda, speaker highlights and registration will be available soon at www.dscoop.org.
Dscoop will also be sponsoring an HP Indigo owner lounge at Graph Expo 2006 this October. This lounge, dubbed the “Dscoop Thinktank”, will be a place for Dscoop members to have a base at the show. They can bring their customers, see creative ideas and network with other members. The Dscoop Thinktank Lounge is in the HP Booth at the show and will be a perfect place for members to relax, learn and see examples of what their peers in the industry have been doing.
