SANTA ANA, Calif. — September 6, 2016 — The recent Duplo Digital Finishing Expo held at the Hyatt Regency in Lisle, Ill., was scene to a packed ballroom of commercial and in-plant printers interested in learning about Duplo’s newest fully automatic finishing solutions. Held on Aug. 25, attendees experienced live equipment demonstrations and were hosted to a lunch seminar titled "Maximizing Resources Utilizing Duplo Template-Based Automation" given by Rick Salinas, Midwest regional sales director for Duplo USA. Seminar topics included how to reduce labor costs and minimize job set up times by eliminating touchpoints.
Slitting/cutting/creasing, bookletmaking, UV coating, perfect binding, and diecutting machines were on display along with the new 350R In-line Booklet System, an in-line printing and bookletmaking solution which integrates the Duplo DBM-350/T Bookletmaker and Trimmer with the Ricoh Pro C9100/8100/7100 series of production printers. Representatives from Ricoh, Convertible Solutions and Multigraf were also present to demonstrate their solutions.
Si Nguyen, VP of sales for Duplo USA, comments, "With Graph Expo moving to Orlando, Florida, this year, we wanted to give printers in the Chicago area and beyond, the opportunity to see Duplo’s latest finishing solutions. We decided to bring the show to them and we’re very pleased to have had the opportunity to engage with current customers and non-Duplo users alike." Duplo USA has hosted several Digital Finishing Expos in various regions throughout the United States.
