Duplo USA Named Exclusive Distributor of Photobook Technology Products

SANTA ANA, CA—Jan. 9, 2013—Duplo USA, a leading manufacturer of print finishing equipment, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Photobook Technology PBT to distribute the latter’s Mitamax, Mitabook, and Mitacase products in North America. The products contribute to Duplo’s growing line of equipment for the on-demand photo book industry.

Mitamax is a gluing machine that glues half-folded sheets together to build perfectly square and lay-flat book blocks. Mitabook is a fully automatic, hardcover casing-in machine designed to economically produce short-run, hard cover books. Mitacase is an automatic hard cover making machine. All systems are easy to operate, require little floor space, and fill the gap between semi-automatic hard cover systems and higher production equipment.

“The Mitamax, Mitabook and Mitacase are a great fit with our product line and we are very excited to be able to offer a full line of products for hard cover applications, including lay-flat photo albums,” says Peter Tu, president of Duplo USA. “Our customers can use our slitter/cutter/creasers to trim, crease, and fold the sheets, UV coat them with our Ultra 200A or Ultra 100A UV coaters, and then glue and case them in with the Mitamax, Mitabook and Mitacase to produce completely finished hard cover photo books on demand.”

Duplo USA will host an open house event Jan. 23-25, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its showroom in Suwanee, GA (100 Horizon Dr.), providing visitors with an opportunity to see live demonstrations of the Mitabook and Mitamax products.
