OCEAN, N.J.—October 14, 2015—Eagle Systems, a U.S.-based developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement equipment, has announced that all the attention paid to foil applications at the recent GRAPH EXPO 15 trade show in Chicago has really paid dividends. Eagle announced that not only did it sell one system right out of the booth, but it also took an order for another installation, scheduled to be installed in early 2016. The company also announced, based upon steady and continuous rising demand for both foil solutions and its in-line systems, that it has always exhibited at drupa and is truly looking forward to drupa 2016 in Building 16A Stand 71.
Eagle President and CEO Mike King commented, "It’s extremely rewarding to see the fruits of your labor come to harvest. For more than 40 years I have been promoting and advocating the advancement of both hot stamping and cold foil technology. I’ve always said, 'Everyone loves Cold Foil, and if you don’t, then you just don’t know enough about it yet.' GRAPH EXPO was a major coming out party and it spurred so many new brand managers and print owners to explore its commercial and promotional value."
King continued, "What really separates us from all the digital foil providers is our practical implementation and versatility in run-length. Our system literally sits on top of the company’s printing press, so there’s no added floor space required or new climate concerns. It’s an in-line system that enables foil to easily be added to any job, regardless of run-length. And in many cases, despite our elevated revenue-generating capability, our pricing is usually also more in-line with the needs of budget-conscious owners."
He added, "The good news is that foil is now being introduced and appreciated by a much wider audience. Over the last few years, with installations all over the world, we’re seeing a steady rise in new applications, such as annual reports, magazine and catalog covers and wedding albums. And of course, due to the increasing user-friendliness and familiarity with foil, more and more of the typical packaging and promotional uses are driving new demand. With the holiday season soon upon us, the bling of Cold Foil will really come into view on a shelf near you."
The Eco-Eagle Cold Foil System
The Eco-Eagle Cold Foil system is a value-added finishing technique for cold foil applications. The add-on system can retrofit to new or existing 28" up to 80" sheetfed offset presses from most major press manufacturers. It offers users the flexibility to apply a single 40" width of foil or multiple widths of foil, in any combination, as narrow as 2". This ability greatly reduces foil cost and consumption. In addition, the cold foil system operates on about the same amount of electricity as a 1,500 watt hair dryer, reducing energy demands in production environments. This year, Eagle Systems has added the ability to use a 16,000k foil roll which allows for less change over during a job run.
