Eckhard Hörner-Maraß to Become Managing Director of manroland web systems

AUGSBURG, GERMANY—August 21, 2012—As of Sept. 15, 2012, Eckhard Hörner- Maraß (52) is going to take over the position of the spokesman of the management board at manroland web systems GmbH.

Hörner-Maraß has more than 25 years of experience in leading positions of the engineering industry. Being a master of engineering (Diplom-Ingenieur FH), he started his career in 1986 at the C. Haushahn Group; in 1995 he switched to the management board of the Jenbacher Energiesysteme GmbH. Four years later he was appointed to the management board of Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH.

Since 2002, Hörner-Maraß has been managing director and since 2005 spokesman of HOLZMA Plattenaufteiltechnik GmbH, a company of the HOMAG Group featuring annual sales of around euro 100 million.

Uwe Lüders, chairman of the executive board of L. Possehl & Co. mbH, will remain managing director of manroland web systems GmbH, yet he will withdraw from the operative business.

“I am glad that with Eckhard Hörner-Maraß we found an entrepreneurial managing director who is going to lead and bring forward the manroland web systems GmbH together with the established management team,” Lüders emphasized.

In the first fiscal year after the insolvency of the manroland AG i.I. (i.e. in insolvency), the manroland web systems GmbH will meet the expectations in spite of a difficult market environment as far as sales and profits are concerned. Lastly the company acquired the factory premises from the insolvency administrator and thus affirmed its long-term commitment to the Augsburg site.
